Congratulations to the APM on winning ‘Best UK Association’ award

Nichols would like to congratulate the Association for Project Management (APM) on winning ‘Best UK Association’ at the inaugural Association Excellence Awards on 27 February 2015.  This award recognises the hard work and leadership of many people at the APM including our ethics champion, Alistair Godbold, Deputy Chairman of the APM, and our founder Mike Nichols, who was Chairman of the APM from 2006-2013.

Award for ‘Best example of Innovation in the Public or Voluntary Sector 2014’ won by Crossrail Innovation Programme

The Crossrail Innovation Programme has won the NEF Innovation Institute’s ‘Best Example of Innovation in the Public or Voluntary Sector 2014’ award.

Congratulations to Tim DeBarro and Marie Gilmour from Nichols and their colleagues from the programme team for this excellent achievement.

Rail Baltica Trade Mission – Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania

Nichols visited Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania to promote British interest in a new railway linking the Baltic States to the rest of Europe and delivered a presentation on how to manage major projects.  We joined the Trade Minister, Lord Livingston, who was in Latvia to show the British Government’s support for this important venture.

Nichols selected as Independent Reporter for the Office of Rail Regulation

We are delighted to announce that Nichols has been selected as an Independent Reporter for the Office of Rail Regulation, working closely with Network Rail.

Nichols will be fulfilling this role in Major Infrastructure & Enhancements with support from AECOM, Sweett Group, and URS; and Output Delivery and Monitoring with support from AECOM, Grant Thornton, Sweett Group, and URS.

Nichols was Independent Reporter for the Office of Rail Regulation from 2009-2014 for Control Period 4 , and are thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to support them through our work in this important role from 2014-2019 for Control Period 5.

Sao Paulo NT Expo – business on rails

Nichols were selected as Independent British Experts to present at a conference in Sao Paulo for the British Embassy on project management in the rail industry.
